Of course, when you buy a new Android phone, you will be required to link your Google account to enjoy all the services and features that the device offers.

Over time, this account may become associated with too many old phones and devices which is something to watch out for. You'll need to delete your Google account from every device you're no longer using so your data doesn't fall into the wrong hands.


Fortunately, Google offers the ability to remove old phones from a Google account when the device is lost or when the account is hacked from another device. If you want to check all devices connected to your Google account and delete old phones, follow the steps below.


Delete old devices from the Google account on the phone


If you recently purchased a new smartphone, you can remotely delete and remove the previous device from your new phone. You will first need to enter the phone settings or “Settings” through the applications screen, then scroll down and select “Google” to access the panel for managing the Google account associated with the phone, now click on the “Manage Google Account” button at the top of the page, and then Go to the "Security" section under the options menu at the top. If you are using an iPhone, open any of the Google applications installed on the phone, let it be the Gmail application, then click on the profile picture and then choose “Manage Account” and you will be directed to a similar page.


In the "Security" section, scroll down to the "Devices" section where all phones connected to this Google account are listed. Next, you have to click on Device Manager to view the full list. When you find the device you want to remove, click on the three dots next to the device type and choose “Logout”, then a confirmation message will appear, click on “Logout” to permanently remove the device from the account Google.


The device will be immediately removed from your account, and a notification will be displayed at the bottom of the screen confirming this. A new section will also be created (Devices you've signed out on), and it will display old phones and devices that you've signed out of your Google account from in the past 28 days.

Remove the old device from the Google account by computer


If you want to remove an old device from your Google account using a computer, this is very easy. All you have to do is open any browser on the device, then go to the Google Account Dashboard, and then log in with your Google account if it is not already registered. After that, on the account management page on the left of the screen, there are several options, including “Security”, click on it and go to the “Your devices” section, and there you will see all the devices that you have previously logged into with a Google account, all you have to do now is find the device Click on the menu button ( ⁝ ) and then choose to Sign out, so you are logged out of this device.
