But when you buy a new smartphone or when you sell your old phone and give it to someone else, you will need to delete this account from that phone first. You should also do this before doing a factory reset of the phone so that you don't face a problem while resetting the settings. And if you do not know how to delete a Google account from the phone, you are in the right place... I will tell you through the next lines.

For starters, removing the account is a completely different process than deleting it, as removing the Google account from your Android phone or iPhone is intended to prevent access to the account from that particular device; Or cut off the account relationship with the phone, if you will, in which case it is possible to re-login with the same account on the same device later without a problem. However, any information synced through the account on that device will be lost. Therefore, it is better to back up important data before removing the Google account from the phone. With that in mind, here's how to remove your Google account for those who have an Android or iOS phone.

Since there are many brands of Android phones in this world, the way to delete a Google account will be different from one phone to another but often you will find the settings mentioned with the same name, just search for it carefully. In this explanation, we will implement the steps on the Samsung phone with the One UI user interface.

All you have to do in the beginning is to go to “Settings” or “Settings” and then scroll down to the “Accounts and Backup” section, then on the next screen click on “Accounts”.

On the "Accounts" page, you will see a list of all your accounts associated with this phone, so expect to find a WhatsApp account, Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, and of course a Google account within this list. You can also add a new account or control syncing for all accounts from this page. Anyway, now click on the Google account then click on the “Remove account” button, and confirm the order by clicking again on the “Remove account” option. Note that you may be asked to verify the identity of the account holder, in which case enter the password and follow the instructions that will appear on the screen until the Google account is deleted from the "Accounts" list.

If you have added your Google account to your iPhone settings so that your emails, contacts, calendar, and notes are synced, you can delete that account as well. Again, this will cause the data that was previously synced to be lost.

So, to delete the account from the phone, go to “Settings” and scroll down to the “Passwords and Accounts” section. On the next screen, you will see a list of all the accounts, whether Google or non-Google, that you have added to this phone, click on the account you want to delete, and then click on “Delete Account” at the bottom of the page, then continue clicking on the “Delete from iPhone” option in the warning which appears.

These were the steps that must be followed to delete the Google account from the phone. Besides that, this process will lead to the loss of data synced through this account, and it will also prevent access to some Google services on this phone. For example, you won't be able to download apps from the Google Play Store, and you won't be able to access your YouTube subscription list or your Google Chrome location history.
